Chittagong Medical College

Chittagong Medical College is a government medical college in Bangladesh, established in 1957. It is located in the south-eastern port city of Chittagong, and associated with Chittagong University.

Currently, it admits 180 students every year in 5 year M.B.B.S courses and 50 students in 4 year B.D.S. courses. It has MD courses in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neuromedicine, Nephrology and Dermatology. It also runs MS courses in General Surgery, Urology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, ENT, Opthalmology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The college is situated in between Chalkbazar and Probortok Mor. There is a large hospital adjacent to the College named Chittagong Medical Hospital.

So, its one of the best cents in Bangladesh to develop clinical knowledge and surgical skills. It has also got research projects[1] in various specialities, like 'Malaria Research Project' which runs in cooperation with University of Oxford.
